The Curious Cozy Cottage

Hello Gamers! I hope you're having a delightful Friday (or day in general)!

Today we'll be exploring a humble (yet full of questionable secrets) home by @....

You may remember some of his builds from my Nature Friendly (WoW) Garden article!

Spicy has been inspired by lots of other builders via Reddit, WoWDB Housing Hub, Instagram and YouTube. I will credit everyone that inspired him at the end!

I wanted to show that you don't have to be the best builder or the most creative person, to make a lovely home in World of Warcraft! Getting inspired by others and tweaking things to make it your own, is perfectly valid!

"Immitation is the sincerest form of flattery" (lets just ignore the rest of the quote)!

And "comparison is the death of joy".

Not everyone I have the pleasure of highlighting via articles is the most chatty or likes a barrage of questions. So I try and work with the builder to see what they prefer. Spicy didn't have much to say as he was mainly inspired by random other builds and then just played around until he made something he liked.

Exterior

I won't say too much on this, check out our 360 tour!

Entryway

When you enter Spicy's home you're greeted by this cute entryway and foyer.

I love the use of the … and the adorable … with … as the potted plant. Despite not being in the same "style" they go so well together!

There's apparently no doors, but I like that you can see all the way to the end! This is something quite unique that I've not seen many people do - I'm used to people using doors, or curtains and such to create "divides". But it's actually super refreshing and makes it feel open and inviting.

For those of you who are quite perceptive, I'll let you work out a mental image of how this floor plan looks!

Living Room

I adore this living room. It feels so homely yet also super fun and creative!

The shelves, side table and upside-down ceiling light (…) turned into a lamp really give it a cozy and unique feel.

In the corner, an insanely cute pet bed made up of …, … and … that has been dyed with … and ….

I wonder if we'll see any cute pets!

An amazing window! Creating a fake view without having to mess around with extra rooms and creating fake scenary is so nice! I will definitely be stealing this idea for my build in the future!

• He used a … to create an illusion of the "sun" shining through
• A landscape painting, …
• 2x … that have been turned around to not give the overwhelming "blue light" (that they usually do)
• Then the usual …

The "console table" with an even more shrunken down …, fills me with such joy! I like how it's almost like a TV!

Therapy Room

I don't believe that Spicy is a therapist, but this feels so unique! I've not seen anyone else do a therapy type room in WoW, in all my snooping!

The … works very well as a sturdy old desk, with an adorable flower pot on top. The many note books (that's how many notebooks I imagine my therapist had for me!) and the soothing … - create such a welcoming and eerily accurate scene.

And of course, it wouldn't be a therapist room without serene artwork on the wall!

I'd definitely love to have some therapy sessions here!

Kitchen

This is probably my favourite room of the house. Make sure to give it a better look via our 360 tour - ….

Cooking and dining is often something I enjoy immensely (when I have the "spoons" to do so)!

The fridge, the cooker (oven), the meat smoker, the dining table and cake are all so fun to look at! And great proof of how you can take ideas from multiple people and still make it your own.

I wonder if the smoker gives the coffee a unique flavour!?

Even the smaller details like the … that is writing the shopping list on the …. And the trash can made up of a … and ….

We should make dealing with trash and recycling more fun for ourselves!

The dining area looks so tempting! I want to sit down for supper!

Did you also notice the empty plate? Me too! I asked Spicy and he said "that plate is for me". I think he needs to make use of his therapy room! Or maybe I do, if that's the first thing I thought! Maybe he just likes serving others first before serving himself, like a good host!

Bathroom

I love how Spicy has made his shower and toilet - they are so unique to me! But maybe I just haven't had as much time to play and snoop!

And who doesn't love a pooping buddy? ….

But the thing I love the most about this room, is the washer and dryer nook! (Oh no, am I being sexist toward myself as my favourite part is the laundry?! Just kidding, I hate doing laundry in real life!)

I also hate tea, crumpets and baked beans (I wonder if I'm even British?!)

Bedroom

A CAT!!!

I couldn't believe my eyes after Spicy told me he had made this adorable lil guy (and replaced something questionable that I wouldn't be able to show). I'm jealous that I didn't think of doing this!

I will definitely be looking up how many other "plushies" you can make from pillows etc! Since Blizzard only wants to give us a handful of "plushies" right now it feels!

The cat is made up of (I'll leave this a bit vague in case you enjoy figuring out how to put things together yourself!):

To create a an almost custom looking bed with an adorable plush quilted duvet!

I love the vibe of this room, it's moody yet cozy. All the "knick knacks" on the shelves seem to have a theme and it's not over saturated.

Another thing that blew my mind in Spicy's bedroom, is THE MOVIE CAMERA!
