Grrgls, Grrgles Everywhere!

Happy Saint Patrick’s day, dear readers! And Happy (almost) "Season 1 Start” day!

I apologise for the delay in getting this article up, but when I discovered the below information, it was a day all of us here at the Housing Herald were rather busy! But I hope you will enjoy the read and enjoy speculating with me nonetheless.

The Discovery

I was browsing our awesome new Decor Database yesterday - that @... put together for our website recently - while I was on a phone call (it was clearly a very important phone call!). And discovered something (I feel) very exciting!

Hopefully I am not alone in being obsessed with “plushies” in real life, so naturally, I want to “catch them all” in World of Warcraft! You can imagine, that I might have had a slight “cuteness overload” when discovering there was a whopping 47 new murloc plushies as decor items!!! Aptly named “Cuddly Grrgle”. They can be found on some of the below databases:

• WoWDB Housing Hub

After spam messaging all my friends about my discovery, I high tailed it to the above mentioned places to try and see where these cuties were from or if they had been mentioned or posted anywhere (and if I had missed some clearly very important information!). Much to my chagrin - I discovered they weren’t currently available!

So, “WHERE ARE THE PLUSHIES?!” I hear you exclaim in the distance (or at least, I did!). I searched around online and couldn’t find any information. During my search however, I started to form some speculations!

Join me in theorising below:

Theory 1

Visiting WoWhead and WoWDB, they both say that the item locations (how to unlock them) are currently unknown! However, it is listed that they will be sold by Dennia Silvertongue in Silvermoon (as well as a vendor in Stormwind and Ogrimmar). And we know that Dennia sells extra copies of "promotional decor". So what does this mean for our 47 new friends that we simply need to cover our WoW homes in?

If we look at the promotional decor items Dennia currently sells, they were acquired by either:

• Pre-Ordering the World of Warcraft Midnight expansion
• "Twitch Drops" - watching an eligible Twitch streamer, for 4 hours, with your Battle.Net account linked to your Twitch account
• Linking your Battle.Net account to Zillow
• Purchasing the Diablo II: Resurrected DLC

And, it hasn’t been confirmed yet, but it is likely she will also sell copies of the Diablo IV decor that is still currently offered to those who pre-purchase Diablo IV: Lord of Hatred expansion (we assume, when the expansion goes live on April 28th!).

With the above knowledge in hand, it might be conducive to say that all these new plushies may come from promotional events again such as “Twitch Drops” etc. As access to our first 3 "Cuddly Grrgls" were via watching Twitch:

• Cuddly Green Grrgle
• Cuddly Alliance Blue Grrgle and Cuddly Horde Red Grrgle Plushies

Currently the 47 new “Cuddly Grrgls” aren’t shown within the “in-game catalog”, which makes me wonder if we might be waiting a while to hear officially when, where or how to unlock these adorable lil guys! But fingers crossed it won't be too long!

Theory 2

Another thought I had - sparked by some of the Grrgl's names and recolours (shown below) - is that maybe, they will be tied to upcoming in-game "World Events" (aka "Holiday" events such as Winter's Veil, Hallow's Eve and Noble Garden etc). Alternatively but in a similar vein - perhaps they will be released with corresponding "seasons" such as Summer, Autumn and Winter? It is definitely something to think about!

You may have noticed I didn't mention Spring when mentioning the seasons above - very observant you are! This is because Spring is approaching in a few days, and could this mean, we may hear about these new plushies sooner rather than later? Contrary to my intial thought? Who knows! But I sure do have my fingers crossed, hoping that come Season 1 Launch (tonight's reset), we may get some more information. Or dare I say - even access to some of them?! And perhaps, allowing these items to be datamined was a fun "sneak peak" by Blizzard to get us Housing enthusiasts more hyped? Again, we can only speculate thus far!

To further my above "Spring Theory" - there is also this lil guy (pictured below) - and I'm not sure about you, but Clover makes me think of Ireland and St Patrick's Day! Which is today, as of publishing!

But I may be getting too "Conspiracy Theory" here!

Theory 3

I'm not sure if you remember the recent in-game shop decor that got released (article here by @...) but when the Spring Blossom Bundle and Lush Garden Decor Pack items were first discovered (datamined), many people speculated that they would be tied to the "Lunar Festival" world event. But we were then sorely disappointed to discover they became in-game shop items, for real world money!

So is it possible that our potential 47 "Cuddly Grrgl" friends, could be tied to the In-Game Store and brought via Hearthsteel ? Perhaps as "seasonal" or "themed" bundles?! The horror!

A friend and I did also discover some other decor items via WoWhead and WoWDB's databases - as we often like to scroll through them in search for inspiration - that we believe are "new" like the murloc plushies mentioned throughout this article - but I don't want to spoil absolutely everything! So we will leave that to you - to discover them for yourself.

I hope you had fun theorising with me! I don't know about you but I am thoroughly looking forward (and maybe a tad apprehensive) to finally get an official post from Blizzard about these gurgling goobers! And any other new decor!
